Development Volunteer Application
Position Title: Development Working Group Volunteer
Location: Remote. Occasionally this position will be present at in-person events if their schedule allows.
Hours: 5-10 hours per week. Occasionally this role will work longer than 10 hours in a week.
Rate of Pay: Volunteer, with potential for pay in the future
Job Description:
The Development Volunteer supports Ayandeh’s fundraising activities. This position will be involved in identifying and communicating with individual donors; identifying and administering grants, corporate sponsorships, and endowments; developing and administering virtual, letter, and social media fundraising campaigns; and planning and executing fundraising events.
The Development Volunteer will work closely with Ayandeh’s Steering Committee to provide insight on fundraising priorities, ideas, and leads. The volunteer will also independently lead elements of the fundraising strategy, such as by writing donor solicitation letters, managing lists of potential donors, and evaluating the success of fundraising campaigns. This position has the opportunity to propose and lead new and innovative fundraising strategies.
The Development Volunteer will work collaboratively with a team of staff and volunteers. The volunteer is expected to meet with the Steering Committee at least once per week..
